In the 1880's, the RDO successfully fought to establish city parks in New Orleans. In the 1950's, the RDO successfully fought to establish the University of New Orleans.
FOR THE LAST 149 YEARS
Established in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1874, the RDO is the oldest continuing civic and political organization in the United States.
AND STILL VOTING STRONG!
Today, thousands of New Orleans voters rely on the RDO's "Pink Ballot" on Election Day.
